The 14th Annual JuneteenthKC Heritage Festival is excited to welcome over 25,000 visitors to the 18th & Vine Historic Jazz District in honor of Juneteenth - commemorating the day in 1865 when the last enslaved African Americans in the United States learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.

ADA Notification
Designated handicap parking spaces are available in the City Lots at 18th & Paseo, the Manual Tech Career Center (1215 Truman Rd.) parking lot, and St. Monica’s Catholic Church (1400 E 17th Street). We encourage guests requiring wheelchair access to park in these lots.
Portable restrooms and ADA accessible facilities are notated on the map above.
SMOKE FREE FESTIVAL
Although this is an outdoor environment, smoking is not allowed under festival tents and will be discouraged on the festival grounds per instructions from the KCFD-Fire Marshall.
CHILDREN
Children must be accompanied AT ALL TIMES by an adult while on the festival grounds.
PARKING
Please note signage for no parking areas. Vehicles may be ticketed and towed.
RAIN OR SHINE EVENT
This is a rain or shine event, scheduled for June 15th , 2024. No refunds or rain checks on the day of the event. The event will not be rescheduled.
WHAT YOU CAN NOT BRING
Coolers or large cooler bags, and outside alcohol are prohibited from being brought onto the festival grounds. Food and drinks will be sold at the festival. Also, please do not bring tents or canopies, and umbrellas.
NO PETS PLEASE
Only assistive animals (as well as those part of any entertainment) are allowed on the festival grounds.
RESTROOMS AVAILABLE
Portable restroom facilities and hand washing stations will be available on the festival grounds.
WHAT YOU CAN BRING
Lawn chairs can be brought into the festival grounds.
Please be mindful that umbrellas are not allowed inside the festival.
