2025 Impact Report

Celebrating Culture. Advancing Equity. Strengthening Community.

Funded by the Missouri Arts Council – House Bill 2012, Section 12.030
Administered by the Office of the Lt. Governor, State of Missouri

In 2025, JuneteenthKC proudly served thousands of community members across Kansas City and beyond by delivering culturally inclusive, accessible, and high-impact programming rooted in celebration, empowerment, and unity. These efforts were made possible thanks to the generous support of the Missouri Arts Council through funds remitted from House Bill 2012, Section 12.030.

With this support, JuneteenthKC continued its mission to elevate cultural understanding, expand access to creative expression, and create inclusive platforms where individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life could come together in celebration of shared history, resilience, and progress.

Cultural Programming
& Festival Engagement

& Food Equity

Food is more than sustenance—it’s about dignity, wellness, and connection. The JuneteenthKC “Healthy Food Tour” met families where they lived

Youth Empowerment
& Leadership

The Miss JuneteenthKC Pageant was more than a celebration of beauty—it was a blueprint for cultivating Black girl leadership across Kansas City.
